1 c butter (2 sticks) 4 eggs, beaten
3 c sugar 2 tsp. salt
3 c flour 2 tsp. almond extract
Butter flavored Pam
6 oz. bag sliced almonds (reserve some for top of cakes)
This recipe makes two cakes
Preheat oven to 350 °
Line an 8 in. cake pan with parchment paper and spray with Pam.
Melt butter in bowl, add sugar and mix well.
Add beaten eggs almond extract, salt, flour and 2/3 almonds. Pour batter into prepared pans. Sprinkle remaining almonds on cakes then bake for 25 -35 minutes or until lightly browned.
